Privacy at UtilSnap
UtilSnap is designed so your files and tool inputs stay on your device. This page explains what runs locally, what may be sent to third-party analytics, and how browser storage works.
File and data processing
PDF, image, and developer tools execute in your browser. Document bytes, photos, JSON, tokens, and pasted text used in those tools are not uploaded to UtilSnap for processing. When you download an export, the file is saved directly from your browser to your device.
Local browser storage
Some features store data locally for convenience: recent PDF projects, theme preference, and business tool profiles or drafts (IndexedDB/local storage). Clearing site data in your browser removes this information. It is not synced to UtilSnap servers.
Analytics and performance monitoring
We may use privacy-conscious analytics (such as PostHog, Vercel Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity) to understand aggregate usage and improve performance. These services receive page views and interaction events — not the contents of files you edit in tools. Analytics traffic may be proxied through our domain to reduce blocking.
Your responsibilities
You choose which files to open and which exports to share. UtilSnap cannot recover files you delete from browser storage. For regulated or legally binding workflows, verify requirements in your jurisdiction — UtilSnap is a general-purpose utility, not certified e-signature or accounting software.
